The profile evidence pilot

We are improving 50 profiles with specific interpretation, source links and practical questions, alongside clearer financial observations throughout the rated directory. Published programme results appear only where a source and definition have been checked; other profiles identify that evidence gap.

Selection and limits

Provisional editorial cohort: 13 Rivers Trust and 33 charities in existing comparisons, plus 16 charities selected across causes, prioritising causes absent from those comparisons and organisations below £1 million income. No search-volume claims. Not random or representative.

Participation is not an endorsement, a higher rating or a claim that a charity is popular in search. The pilot is an editorial sample and cannot establish a causal ranking benefit.

How we will assess usefulness

Compare equivalent periods before and after publication using actual search impressions, clicks, queries and position, alongside consented source visits and comparison use. Keep page selection fixed, note changes in search demand and account for other site changes. An initial 8–12 week review is a checkpoint, not a promise of results.

Search and outcome measurements are not yet available for this release. No traffic, ranking or AI-citation improvements are claimed here.
