CharityCompare

Your charity is already listed. Claiming it is free.

Every UK registered charity already has a CharityCompare profile, rated from its own filings and built to be found — by search engines and by the AI assistants donors increasingly ask before giving. Claiming lets you add your description, a verified badge and a link to your donation page. It costs nothing, and it never changes your score.

Why this is worth your attention

Most charities we speak to want the same thing: to be found by people who are deciding where to give, and to be understood correctly when they are. That is expensive to build yourself and it already exists here.

Already indexed

Profiles ship structured data, an answer-first summary and a machine-readable feed for AI systems. Your page inherits all of it the day you claim — nothing to build, nothing to maintain.

£144 a year

A Supporter membership, billed annually — roughly £12 a month against a page that is already built, already rated and already indexed. No developer, no hosting bill, nothing to maintain.

Independent

Donors trust a third-party rating in a way they cannot trust your own marketing. That independence is the product — which is exactly why no payment can move a score.

To be clear about what money does and does not buy: paid tiers change what you can show — logo, photos, impact links, a stats dashboard, labelled featured placement. They never change your rating, your star count, or where you appear in a ranked list. If they could, none of this would be worth anything to donors.

What a finished profile looks like

Our example profile is a fictional charity shown with everything switched on — the verified badge, the “From the charity” section and the full score breakdown. This is how your page appears to donors, to Google, and to AI assistants answering “is this charity any good?”

How you appear in Google & AI

Every profile ships entity-first structured data (NGO, FAQ, speakable WebPage) and an answer-first summary. Clarity Scores are visible, dated text — never review-star schema markup — so your charity is represented accurately in Google and AI Overviews.

Optional paid upgrades

Supporter, Partner and Patron memberships add presentation features (photos, videos, impact links) and clearly-labelled “Featured partner” visibility. They never affect your Clarity Score or ranking — scores cannot be bought.

Want your own website to work this way too?

A CharityCompare profile does one job well: it gets you found by donors comparing charities. It is not a substitute for your own website, and plenty of small charities need both. If yours is dated, hard to edit, or invisible to search and AI assistants, our sister company builds starter sites for charities at a reduced rate.

£1,000

Charity rate, one-off (standard price £1,500). Domain and hosting are extra, around £150 a year.

Up to 5 pages

Mobile-responsive, with title tags, meta descriptions and schema markup so search engines and AI tools can read it properly.

3–4 weeks

Built on WordPress so your team can edit it without a developer, with 30 days of support after launch.

Common questions

Does it cost anything for a charity to claim its profile? +

No. Claiming, correcting, embedding badges and right-of-reply are all free, forever. Optional paid memberships add presentation features only — they cannot buy a better score or a place in ranked results.

Can a charity change its Clarity Score? +

No one can buy or edit a score. Scores are our independent reading of public UK regulator filings. If you believe the underlying data is wrong, request a correction with evidence and we will re-check it.

How do you verify that I represent the charity? +

We confirm requests against the charity's registered contact details held by its UK regulator before publishing any change.
