Terms of use
By using CharityCompare you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
What CharityCompare is
CharityCompare is an independent information service. We publish Clarity Scores and facts drawn from Charity Commission filings for England & Wales. We do not provide donation advice, financial advice, or crisis support.
Accuracy and updates
We work to keep profiles accurate but cannot guarantee completeness or real-time register data. Verify important details on the official Charity Commission register. Report errors via our complaints process or [email protected].
Independent scores
Ratings are algorithmic summaries of public filings — not endorsements. Charities cannot pay for higher scores. We do not earn commission from donations made via outbound links.
Embeds and reuse
You may embed CharityCompare score widgets on your site using the code we provide on charity profiles. Embeds must link back to the full profile and must not be altered to misrepresent scores. We may change or withdraw embed formats with reasonable notice.
Acceptable use
- Do not scrape the site in ways that impair service for others.
- Do not misrepresent CharityCompare scores or imply we recommend specific donations.
- Do not use automated means to bulk-download profile content for republication without permission.
Intellectual property
CharityCompare branding, methodology text, and site design are ours. Charity names and register data remain subject to their respective owners and licences.

Liability
CharityCompare is provided “as is” without warranty. To the fullest extent permitted by law we are not liable for decisions you make based on site content.
Changes
We may update these terms. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
