Our aim is to provide a valuable resource for the local community and beyond. We promote education, culture and social inclusion. We do this by boosting the areas economy by attracting an average of 1700 visitors every year from Easter to November or at other times on request. Our community engagement volunteers regularly visit local schools. They take out items from the Museum. This way young people learn first hand about their past.
