What the charity does
We own and maintain a 67Ha former commercial conifer plantation. Our principle objective is to restore the wood back to largely native species and create a range of habitats to improve biodiversity. We run weekly and monthly work parties for our volunteers using hand tools only (supplied by us, incl safety gear). We sometimes hire in contractors if forest roads need maintenance or if there is significant felling to be done e.g, from storm damage.
