Following the completion of the Hermitage Park restoration project which merited significant investment from the Heritage Lottery Fund, The Friends of Hermitage Park (FOHPA) aims to ensure that standards are maintained and the Park is both further developed and actively used by people within and without Helensburgh. The Charity achieves this by liaising with the day to day park supervisor and by regular Steering Group meetings with Argyll & Bute senior management, ensuring among other issues that standards continue to meet the Green Flag Award criteria.
