The charity is set up to promote archaeology and, more generally, historical heritage in Tayside and Fife by bringing it to as broad an audience as possible. All of the trustees are volunteers and the only trustee to receive a fee for work undertaken on behalf of the charity is Derek Hall who edits our annual peer-reviewed journal. In addition to producing a free to access online journal and a Newsletter, TAFAC organises an annual conference featuring recent archaeological work in the area.
