Our charity was set up by a group of local people to take on ownership of a ten and a half acre native deciduous woodland next to our village, donated by a private landowner. The aim of our charity is to manage the wood for the benefit of local people and local wildlife. Our group of ten members meets regularly to discuss management of the wood and to arrange practical activities. One of our biggest tasks is maintaining the footpaths within the wood in a safe and accessible condition.
