The society promotes the study of Family Jistory and Genealogy by studying, analsying and sharing information on Shetland individuals and families. Maintains links with other Family History societies. The Society's office is open 2 - 4 p.m. each weekday from the end of January until the first week of December when volunteers are happy to assist those interested in finding their Shetland roots - many of those visitors are from overseas.
