Founded in 1504, Newhaven was a close-knit fishing community until 1960s redevelopment scattered its population. Newhaven Heritage works to restore this lost sense of belonging by promoting the village's place within the history of Scotland. We operate a harbourside police box every Saturday morning to engage with passers-by, publish free quarterly journals, and have developed a QR-coded heritage trail around the village. We are currently developing a family-friendly trail intended mainly for children and we are building a virtual museum to replace the popular community museum that was onc…
