This charity was set up to have the income utilised to assist the Lunatic Asylum of Aberdeen (2/7), the Infirmary (1/7), the Incurable Hospital (1/7) and discretionary grants of (3/7) of the revenue, provided no beneficiary received assistance by way of public funds. The Incurable hospital and Infirmary became publicly funded and so a Scheme was agreed in 1954 to change these to the Eventide Home which is not publicly funded.
