Our rural community, is on the edge of Scotland. Isolation and loneliness are common factors along with depopulation as young folk can drift away. The John O Groats Mill Trust was established to improve our environment for locals and for visitors. The unused watermill, for years a focal point has become so again after a major refurbishment undertaken by the Trust. Its a hub or drop in centre for all ages. A unique building, its a natural focus for community heritage and a catalyst for folk to remember half forgotten stories and skills . It can still work as a mill, an exciting environment f…
