Friends of the River Tyne is a community lead group dedicated to celebrating, protecting and improving the river Tyne and its surroundings. Wholly run by volunteers we work to monitor water quality, restore habitats, reduce litter and raise awareness of the rivers rich natural heritage. Through clean up events, educational projects, water testing, invertebrate monitoring , tree planting and partnerships with local organisations we aim to nurture a connection between the people of Haddington and the river that runs through the town.
