The charity manages any funds to ensure young people have the required equipment to complete their expeditions, and we pay for training for volunteer leaders and expedition assessors. All longer expeditions require leaders with a Summer Mountain Leader Award which requires a training course and a six-day assessment as well as specialist First Aid qualifications.
