What the charity does
Fèis Arainn is a festival of traditional music, Gaelic culture and language. We offer traditional music tuition and a Gaelic arts experience to young people from the age of eight. Fèis Arainn began in 1993 as a week-long event for Arran High School pupils. It has since grown into a successful festival that attracts many participants each year. The four day event which happens during the school holidays in July is a highlight in the calendar for many island children, this year we had 90 participants.
