DRG has been active in the Douglas area since 2012, initially as an unincorporated body and as a SCIO since 2017. The group has conducted path improvements, organised village clean-ups, and provided and maintained flowers and plants throughout the village. We also supply hanging baskets annually on Main Street and Ayr Road in Douglas. In an innovative fund-raising event DRG organised ‘Gig in the Grounds’ starting as a one-day event, becoming two days and then since 2019 it became three days due to the popularity of it and more bands wanting to play.
