What the charity does
Grow 73 aims to help people of all ages and abilities in Rutherglen and Cambuslang to grow their own food, lead more sustainable lives and support local biodiversity. We hope to play a role in tackling loneliness and exclusion, improve the local environment and support physical and mental health via outdoor activities, promoting ‘Green Health’ and encouraging healthy eating. Our base is the Community Garden in Overtoun Park, Rutherglen. We have over 80 raised beds for hire every year by local individuals and organisations who use the facilities to grow their own food.
